Hello everyone,

the doctoral colloquium will now each start with a 15min open discussion round on current research topics. The rounds will take place weekly, possibly succeeded by a separately announced colloquium talk.

You have a short question, read a nice paper, have an idea or simply want to join the discussion or follow the updates? Then join starting Sep 17:

When? Every Thursday, 16:00 c.t. - ca. 16:30, possibly followed by a colloquium talk until ca. 18:00
Where? KogSys-Lab (WE5/05.013) or virtual via Zoom:

Also, if you would like to give a separate introduction to a topic, e.g. your thesis, an upcoming/published paper, or any other topic or idea you would like to discuss: Please contact Johannes Rabold (johannes.rabold@uni-bamberg.de) for a slot in the colloquium talks.

Hello everyone,

since next week will be the KI2020 conference, we will skip next weeks' virtual colloquium, but will meet again the week after that for a 1h "KI2020 Special" discussing the best papers of the conference. So tune in!

Regards
Johannes

Hello everyone,

since we are now fully in the "let's discuss interesting stuff no matter what" mode, we will feature once again a special discussion topic in the upcoming session on thursday, AI safety. This will be shortly pitched by Gesina Schwalbe from Continental Corporation. She is working on this topic for her doctoral thesis in the larger context of autonomous driving.

The login information can be found in this VC course as always. Everyone is welcome.

Best regards
Johannes
