Dear all,
The Lamarr Institute for Machine Learning and Artificial
Intelligence invites applications for one postdoctoral position in the
project “Explainability, Data Sovereignty, and Trust”. The
project will investigate what explanainability and
transparency of artificial intelligent (AI) systems can contribute to
an individual’s data sovereignty and privacy. This is a fixed-term
2-year position, which will be located at the Department of Humanities
and Theology and the Department of Computer Science
(with JProf. Eva Schmidt and Prof. Jakob Rehof). Deadline for
applications is Sept. 20, 2023.
We're looking for applications from researchers who have a degree
in practical philosophy and/or with a focus on philosophical issues of
AI and who ideally have interdisciplinary research experience,
specifically regarding computer science, political science,
or law. The research focus will be thinking about how explainable AI
and issues of data sovereignty and privacy connect. The role of this
position within the Lamarr Institute will be to strengthen
interdisciplinary cooperations and research involving, but
not limited to, philosophy and computer science.
