We are part of the Cognitive Systems research group at the
Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg and want to invite you to
participate in our study.
Text classification is an important research field in artificial intelligence.
With this study we want to research how explanations affect human
interaction with a text-classifier that predicts which class (i.e. which
content-category) a presented text belongs to.
In the questionnaire you will be shown ten different texts along
with the class of the text as determined by a classifier and two
explanations for why the classifier chose this class for the text.
Your task will be to select the explanation that you find most
helpful for each text and to answer a brief question about each text.
Completing the questionnaire will take approximately 20-30 minutes of your time.
Psychology students can gain 0.5 "Versuchspersonenstunden" by
participating in this study (a code for validation in STS will be issued
at the end of this questionnaire.)
