Greetings!

We are excited to announce that the third AAAI Undergraduate Consortium (AAAI-UC) will be hosted at the 2022 AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence. The AAAI-UC will offer undergraduates the opportunity to attend and gain an enhanced conference experience through a robust cohort-building and mentoring program.

The AAAI-UC will offer undergraduate students an opportunity to enrich their conference experience by:

  • presenting and receiving critical feedback about their work in a professional, academic setting;
  • meeting prospective graduate advisors;
  • receiving mentoring about the advantages (and overcoming the challenges) of pursuing graduate studies in AI as well as practical early career advice;
  • expanding their professional network to include AI experts, current graduate students, and undergraduate peers; and
  • providing advice, tools, and resources for successfully applying to and attending graduate school in AI-related research.

The 2022 AAAI-UC will be held in conjunction with the AAAI-22 conference, which will take place Feb. 22-March 1, 2022 at Vancouver, BC, Canada. The deadline for applying is Monday, Sept. 27, 2021. Instructions for applying to the Undergraduate Consortium can be found at: https://aaai.org/Conferences/AAAI-22/undergraduate-consortium/

We welcome applications from all undergraduate students exploring a career in AI research, especially students who identify with groups traditionally marginalized by computing and/or students who have limited resources related to graduate school at their home institutions.

Best,

Sonia Chernova
