The financial center of Germany is getting fit for artificial intelligence - Support us in the SafeFBDC project at TU Darmstadt!

The main goal of SafeFBDC is the development of a Financial Big Data Cluster (FBDC) to secure data sovereignty in the financial sector. This is a cloud-based financial data platform that bundles data from different sources and provides suitable AI tools for data analysis on the financial data. At the core of the project is the development of new AI-based concepts along five application scenarios from the financial industry.

SafeFBDC is also a key part of the European GAIA-X initiative, a project to build a secure and trusted data infrastructure in Europe. The implementation of the financial data platform requires new scalable and trustworthy mechanisms for the use and analysis of data in the financial sector. SafeFBDC is also embedded in other TU activities, such as the Center for Applied Cyber Security ATHENE as well as in the Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence, which has its main location at TU Darmstadt. The two areas of AI and cybersecurity represent important research foci at TU Darmstadt and include further research activities complementary to the SafeFDBC project.

In this context, the Department of Computer Science is looking for several research assistants in various fields, each with a 3-year fixed-term employment contract, as soon as possible.

Der Finanzplatz macht sich fit für künstliche Intelligenz - Unterstützen Sie uns im Rahmen des an der TU Darmstadt angesiedelten Projektes SafeFBDC!

Wesentliches Ziel von SafeFBDC ist die Entwicklung eines Financial Big Data Clusters (FBDC) zur Absicherung der Datensouveränität im Finanzsektor. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Cloud-basierte Finanzdatenplattform, die Daten aus unterschiedlichen Quellen bündelt und passende KI-Werkzeuge für die Datenauswertung auf den Finanzdaten bereitstellt. Im Kern des Vorhabens steht die Entwicklung von neuen KI-basierten Konzepten entlang von fünf Anwendungsszenarien aus der Finanzindustrie.

SafeFBDC ist außerdem ein wesentlicher Teil der europäischen GAIA-X-Initiative, eines Projekts zum Aufbau einer sicheren und vertrauenswürdigen Dateninfrastruktur in Europa. Für die Umsetzung der Finanzdatenplattform bedarf es neuer skalierbarer und vertrauenswürdiger Mechanismen für die Nutzung und Auswertung von Daten im Finanzsektor. SafeFBDC ist zudem eingebettet in weitere Aktivitäten der TU, wie z.B. dem Zentrum für angewandte Cybersicherheit ATHENE sowie im Hessischen Zentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz, das seinen Hauptstandort an der TU Darmstadt hat. Die beiden Bereiche KI und Cybersicherheit stellen wichtige Forschungsschwerpunkte der TU Darmstadt dar und umfassen weitere, das SafeFDBC Vorhaben ergänzende Forschungsaktivitäten.

In diesem Kontext werden zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt am Fachbereich Informatik für verschiedene Fachgebiete mehrere wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter_innen in jeweils auf 3 Jahre befristeten Arbeitsverhältnissen gesucht:
