The thesis has been realised In cooperation with the CAS Software AG. The goal has been to extend the CAS Configurator Merlin such that Boolean constraint satisfaction problems for product configurations can be solved. Accordingly, a framework for testing different branching heurstics with reinforcement learning has been developed.
