With classrooms in Germany becoming more and more culturally diverse, cross-cultural competence is a crucial skill for teachers. This seminar will combine academic and practical, hands-on approaches to the topic: Participants will be looking into different models of culture and intercultural communication and learn to develop communicative strategies, cultural self-awareness and a better understanding of culture(s) and inter/multi/transculturality. We will put a special focus on the intercultural implications for teaching in a multicultural classroom. Language: English
